Tracy Gayle Bish

Tracy Gayle Bish, (October 16, 1986 – June 8, 2023), the youngest daughter of William and Regina M. Bish, lost her battle to cancer.  She was a 2005 graduate of John Battle High School and a 2009 graduate of Emory & Henry College.  Tracy continued her education in Allentown, PA to become a Forensic Scientist for the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory in Delaware and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. 

She is survived by her parents, William and Reginia Bish; maternal grandmother, Irene Martin Moore; sisters, Rachel Bish (Matt Smith), and Lori Barr; nephew, Aiden Bish; niece, Abigail Smith; and her little dog, “Brownie”.

Tracy touched many lives and will be remembered for her quick wit, warm smile, and loving nature.  She loved children and was “Aunt T” to many besides her own niece and nephew.  Tracy enjoyed traveling and visited 47 of the 50 states where she sampled food and restaurants as well as preparing new foods.  She was an avid Washington Capitals fan and loved reading many books.

At Tracy’s request, a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church, 3012 Lee Highway, Bristol, VA 24201, with Pastor John Markel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, the Shriner’s Hospital, www.donate.lovetotherescue.org, or to the American Cancer Society, www.donate.cancer.org, in Tracy’s name.
