Trecia Marie Rash, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, with her family by her side, after a long battle with kidney disease. She was originally from the Abingdon area, daughter of the late Alice and David McCracken. She loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed being on the water, boating and fishing. She will never be forgotten.
In addition to her parents, Trecia was preceded in death by her sister Betty Garland, and by her mother-and father-in-law, Emmett and Clara Rash.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, John Rash; a son, Johnny Rash; daughter, Shelia Thompson and boyfriend Scott Darling; grandson, Steven Blevins and wife Brooke; great-grandson, Cameron Blevins; son-in-law, Doug Thompson and wife Rhonda; sister, Eva Murray and husband Kim; brothers: David Lee McCracken and wife Barbara, Charlie McCracken and wife Sharon, and Jerry McCracken and wife Teresa; brothers-in-law: Edward Rash and wife Joyce, Danny Rash and wife Jan, Joey Rash and wife Goomie, and Ray Rash and wife Bambie; sisters-in-law, Hazel Fleming and husband Jerry, Linda Rash, and Mary Jane Spears; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Trecia Marie Rash will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Ronnie Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the funeral home.
