Treva Kirk

Treva Earcel Counts Kirk, age 87, passed away on January 25, 2025 in Bristol, VA. She was the fourth of six children born to the late William Garland Counts and Hattye Johnson Counts on October 29, 1937. Treva lived and worked as a cosmetologist in Charlottesville, VA for 35 years before returning to Southwest Virginia in 2004. Treva was of the Methodist faith and she and her husband were long time members of the moose lodge in Charlottesville, VA. 

In addition to her parents, Treva was also preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Charles Wayne Kirk; two brothers, Danny F. Counts and Dorlan Counts; sister, Betty McCormick; stepson, Chuck Kirk; and special niece, Tracy D. Crabtree.

Treva is survived by sisters, Joyce Crabtree and June Crenshaw; stepson, Ronnie Kirk; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Main Street Chapel - Farris Funeral Service with a graveside service following at 1:00 p.m. at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Rev. Barbara Farmer officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s or the Veterans Association.
