Victoria “Vicki” Bryant DeBord, age 65, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Abingdon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Admiral Dewey Bryant; and mother, Sue Arrington Barden.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bill DeBord; two sons, David Bryant Balfrey and wife, Ellen, of Charlottesville, Va. and Matthew Scot Balfrey of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Avril Jade Vermunt and husband, Lane, of Longmont, Colo.; step-son, Mark DeBord and wife, Sheri, of Louisa, Va.; step-daughter, Lisa DeBord of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Kelly Russell and husband, Tim, of Locust, N.C.; brother, Jim Bryant and wife, Stephanie, of Waxhaw, N.C.; four grandchildren, Axel, Sybil, Gunner, and Lachlan; and five step-grandchildren, Lauren, Jake, Taylor, Hannah, and Logan.
A private memorial service will be livestreamed on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. from the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with the Rev. Dr. Robert Countiss officiating. The service may be viewed by visiting
