Vince Gilbert Tignor, age 63 and resident of the Brumley Gap Community, passed on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at his home. Vince loved to hunt, search for ginseng and was a talented musician. He worked as a welder for numerous years for Counts Welding and was a member of Corner House Church.
Mr. Tignor is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Burns Tignor and Mandy Frances Reynolds Tignor; three sisters, Gladys Poluas, Cletus Arnold and Roxie Tignor; and four brothers, Morgan, Glenn, Raymond and Bernard Tignor.
He is survived by four daughters, Priscilla (Jack) Thomas of Bristol, TN, Patricia Haga of Abingdon, VA, Vickie Settle of Bristol, VA and Jill Tignor of Bristol, VA; three brothers, Dallas (Lucille) Wise of Abingdon, VA, Daniel (Nancy) Wise of Bristol, Va, and L.V. (Joy) Tignor of Michigan; six sisters, Mary Horner of Bristol, VA, Leo Tweed of Abingdon, VA, Jane (Guy) Arnold of Bristol, VA, Nanny Bea (Virgil) Wise of Abingdon, VA, Betty (Larry) Smith of Castlewood, VA and Willa Mae Black of Bristol, VA; five grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Brandi Settle, Derick Haga, Dylan Settle and Gavin Dunn; great-grandchild, Ryan Woodby; fianc�©e, Barbara Honaker.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Fred Reynolds and Pastor Ballard Miller officiating. Jimmy Bowman, Dude Bowman, Virgil Wise, Larry Smith, Stuart Smith, Lonnie Smith, Matthew Thomas and Derick Haga will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. 1:45 P.M. Tuesday just prior to the graveside service at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
