Abingdon, VA Virginia Alice Sweat, age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Abingdon Health and Rehab. Left behind to cherish her memories are sons: Preston, Joseph, Rodney, Roger, and Gary Jackson; daughters Virginia Counts and Stella Pakacki; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service for Virginia Alice Sweat will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday August 12, 2015 in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jack Sprinkle officiating. Casket bearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
