Dateline: Abingdon, VA- Virginia Ann Taylor Kincheloe, age 75, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015. She was born August 5, 1939, to the late Scott Hyder Taylor and Mary Groseclose Taylor in Damascus, VA. She was retired from Washington County School System as a Choral Director and English teacher in all four county high schools and several elementary schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jack Kincheloe; parents, Scott and Mary Taylor; uncle, S.K. Taylor; niece, Gayle Grubb Stevison; and grandparents. Mrs. Kincheloe and Jack were volunteers at Johnston Memorial Hospital and The Barter Theatre. Mrs. Kincheloe is survived by her daughter, Johnna Ferguson of Knoxville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Herbert Toon of Bristol, VA; sister-in-law, Kitty Kincheloe Park of Cleveland, TN; nephew and future niece, Scott Kiser and Pandora Ray of Abingdon, VA; niece, Deborah Smith of Athens, TN; great nephew and future great-niece, Brandon Kiser and Ashley Price of Bristol, TN; great-niece and husband, Taylor and Billy Guinn; great-great niece, Kaitlyn Kiser; great-great nephew, Brylee Price; great-great nephew, Brayden Guinn; and the many cousins from Whitesburg, TN, Morristown, TN, and Dandridge, TN. Visitation will be at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service on Sunday, August 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, August 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Abingdon United Methodist Church with Rev. Laura Plaster and Rev. Robert Countiss officiating. One of her former students from John S. Battle High School, Clyde Wilson, will sing. Interment will follow in Holston Conference Cemetery at Emory, VA. Pallbearers will be Herbert Toon, Scott Kiser, Brandon Kiser, Ronnie Parris, and John Orr. Pete Rowlett will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
