Virginia Faye Williams, age 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at her home. She was born November 12, 1940, to the late William Robert Wright and Avis Blanche Phillippi Wright in Wythe County, Va. Faye will be remembered as a passionate Christian who never met a stranger and was lovingly devoted to her husband and family. She was well-known and loved for the years she worked as a cashier at Maxi Mart.
In addition to her parents, Faye was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Brady Glyn Williams. She is survived by her son, Phillip Glyn Williams and wife, Becky, of Bristol, Va.; daughter, Rhonda Canter and husband, Stanley, of Bristol, Va.; three sisters, Nancy Hull of the home, Patsy McKenna, and Dolly Owen; two grandchildren, Seth Williams and Cody Canter; and special friends, Ann Harris, Susie Yates, and Gerry Ramsey.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy., Abingdon, VA 24210, with Pastor Richard Pannell officiating. A private committal service will be held at the Serenity Garden Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel.
