Vivian Estelle Widener, 74, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1937 in Abingdon and was a daughter of the late Ernest and Daisy Hawthorne Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Junior Widener; a son, David Widener a brother, Fred Jackson and a granddaughter, Jessica Widener.
Survivors include her children, Janice Sexton, Shelby Pierce, Gary Widener, Norman Widener, Lorrie Russ, and Sandy Henegar; grandchildren, Bridgett Widener, Kevin Ketchum, Shannon Ketchum, Cheyanne Pierce, Mark Widener, Matthew Widener, Brian Widener, Tyler Henegar and Travis Sexton; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2011 in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Irvin Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens . Pallbearers will be Matthew Widener, Pete Johnson, Devon Coleman, Aaron Stanley, Jeff Wyatt and Joshua Johnson.
Friends may call at the Forest Hills Chapel beginning at 3:00 P.M. Thursday.
