Walter L. Howell

Meadowview, VA Walter L. Howell, age 79, passed on Friday, April 29, 2016, in Johnston Memorial Hospital. Walter was a employee of Kerns Bakery for 23 years and of Moores Snack Foods for 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted Howell and Clara Pearl Widener Howell.

Walter is survived by one son, Walter Howell, Jr. of Bristol, TN; daughter, Carol Broyles and husband Jim of Bristol, VA; granddaughter, Devon Broyles; great granddaughter, Rylee Broyles; and special friends, Tim and Brenda Jessee.

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Vann Seals officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
