Walter W. Ridgway Jr.

Walter W. Ridgway, Jr., age 91, passed on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at his home. He was born on February 20, 1922 to the late Walter W. and Cora Boone Ridgway in Roanoke, VA. Mr. Ridgway was a retiree of the Norfolk and Southern Corporation and served in the U.S. Army's 1st General hospital during WWII.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine S. Ridgway; and sisters, Duvahl Ridgway Hull, Ruth Ridgway Jones and Louise Ridgway Freese.
He is survived by special friends, Eva Doss, Steve Forrester and Wade Phipps. Mr. Ridgway is also survived by many other close friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA with Rev. John Cochran officiating.
