Mr. Warren "Hank" Miller, age 91, passed away Tuesday at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Washington County Virginia to the late Charles and Lilly Miller. Warren served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Infantry. Following the war, he was employed by Burlington Industries, where he retired after 40 years of service. Mr. Miller loved spending time in the outdoors with his family. He loved long rides and trout fishing with his wife.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Claude Miller and his wife, Harvey Miller, and Wiley Miller; his sister Algerine Miller; and grandson Bradley Miller.
Warren is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Opal; his son Glenn "Pete" Miller and wife Donna of Bristol, VA; grandchildren Melissa Miller Hutton and husband Neal, Krista Ramey Longmore and husband Mike, Kreg Ramey and wife Jodi, and Matthew Ramey. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren Josh, Abbie, Emily, Riley, Hunter, Jenna, Will, Parris and Molly. Also surviving are brother- in- law Paul Miller and sisters-in-law Johnsie Miller and Helen Miller
Funeral Services for Mr. Warren Hank Miller will be held at 2:00pm Saturday August 17, 2013 at the Farris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Garland and Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens where Kreg Ramey, Matthew Ramey, Lovell Wittig, John Clinebell, Jerry Widener, and Blake Eades will serve as pall bearers. Honorary bearers will be Paul Miller, Julian Miller, Havard Shortt, Neal Hutton, and Jackie Bise.
The family will receive friends 6:00 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 N. Boone Street Suite 25, Johnson City, TN 37604.
