Wayne Popen

Bristol, VA Wayne Douglas “Chip” Popen, age 66, passed on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at his home. Mr. Popen was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a truck driver for many years. He was born and raised in New York and later moved to Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Popen and Rose DelSignore Popen. He is survived by two children, Gwendolyn Popen of Texas, and Todd Popen of Florida; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside memorial service with military rites will be conducted at 2:30pm, Friday, April 24, 2015, at Mountain Home National Veterans Affairs Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Marine Corps and the Boone Dam V.F.W. Post 4933.
