Wesley McNeil “Mack” Lovelace, of Emory, Va., age 64, died on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Welch, W. Va. to the late Edith Shrader Lovelace and Wesley Eugene Lovelace. Mack is survived by his sister, Tena Lovelace; two first cousins, Sheila Brooks and Marie Goforth; and a number of more distant cousins and in-laws. He is also survived by his partner of nearly 13 years, Glynn Baugher.
His body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Emory and Henry College Chapel in the Spring and part of his ashes interred in the Holston Conference Cemetery and part in the family cemetery near Bluefield, W. Va.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Animal Defense League, P. O. Box 2099, Abingdon, VA 24212, to carry on Mack's work of feeding, spaying, and helping abandoned animals to live out their life.
