William Vernard Bolling

William Vernard Bolling, age 73, passed away on April 4, 2023 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 22, 1949, to the late Henry Morgan Bolling and Dollie May Stidham Bolling. He gradated from Pound High School and spent 30 years working in the grocery industry. William enjoyed fishing, gardening, feeding chickens and attending antique shows.

Survivors include his significant other Irma Salyer, one son, William Blake Bolling, one daughter, Heather Landrum and her husband, David; two brothers, Rodney Bolling and his wife, Trula, Claude Bolling and his girlfriend Dinah; one sister, Eileen Cantrell and husband, Jeff; four grandchildren, Alaya, Ayla, Hayan, and Hana; one great granddaughter, Alexis; several nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Jack Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Pallbearers will be Kelly Baker, Brent Robinson, Carl Lady, Rodney Bolling, Jimmy Warren and Claude Bolling.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
