William Monroe Ogle, Sr., 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
William was a life long resident of Washington County, born February 19, 1922 to the late Gordon and Minnie Cantrell Ogle. He was a charter member of Rich Valley United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Kazim Temple. He enjoyed attending his church, numerous years of farming, and was a wonderful neighbor and friend.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Christine Dunn Ogle.
Survivors include his son, Monte Ogle and his wife Shirley of Bristol, TN; one daughter, Delores Ritchie and her husband Wayne of Damascus, VA; three grandsons, Steven Ogle, Brian Ogle, and Ben Ritchie and his wife Misty; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 5 PM at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon with Pastor Larry Linkous officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 pm until the time of the service. Entombment will follow in the Sanctuary of Love Mausoleum at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
